Debuts
Four conductors will lead the orchestra for the first time in the 2025/26 season.
French conductor Marie Jacquot will introduce herself to the Zurich audience with works by Adès and Mussorgsky as well as Beethoven's Violin Concerto and soloist Augustin Hadelich. Sir András Schiff will also conduct the orchestra for the first time, from the piano in works by Bach and Beethoven. Our Creative Chair Thomas Adès will be working on his own piano concerto with the orchestra and soloist Kirill Gerstein. And Florian Helgath, Artistic Director of the Zürcher Singakademie, will also stand in front of the orchestra for the first time in Mendelssohn's oratorio "Paulus".
