Philippe Jordan from Zurich was General Music Director of the Paris Opera for many years and has also recorded two major works by Ravel on CD with the orchestra there: "Daphnis et Chloé" and "La valse". He now conducts both in Zurich, as well as the "Valses nobles et sentimentales": a threefold immersion in a world of sound full of dazzling colours and atmospheric contrasts.
