Two piano concertos in one chamber music matinee? It's possible with a well-crafted arrangement and a spirited ensemble. A string quintet replaces the orchestra in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 and Chopin's Piano Concerto - and pianist Hendrik Heilmann will take on two very different solo parts. Both works are also popular in symphony concerts; in this matinee, they are now placed in an unusually intimate setting in terms of sound and space. You can bet that you will discover many things that you have never noticed before.
