The RCM trio revives pieces by the greatest musicians of the progressive rock genre in a unique blend of electric guitar, percussion and pipe organ. Equally influenced by classical music culture and jazz, the trio takes the audience into a kaleidoscopic musical universe where lyricism, rhythmic energy and poetic happenings intersect. The great symphonic frescoes of Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis, Pink Floyd or Mike Oldfield are given a new life, reflected in the countless colours of the organ with its thousand-year history. A top-class crossover evening full of surprises and thrilling dynamics.
The Zurich International Organ Festival is curated by Prof. Christian Schmitt and Prof. Tobias Willi in consultation with Prof. Michael Eidenbenz, President of the Association of Friends of the New Zurich Tonhalle Organ.
